Individual Therapy
I offer an in-depth psychotherapy which gives clients
a chance to explore who they are, the difficulties they
face in life and their obstacles to growth. We work
together on what’s happening at thinking, feeling,
behavioural and physiological levels, both consciously
and unconsciously. This journey can be long or short
and very painful at times. The ultimate aim in our work
together is to enable the client to live a more autonomous,
fulfilling life.
I use Transactional Analysis alongside Existential,
Cognitive and other psychotherapeutic approaches to
provide the therapy best suited to each individual.
Group Therapy
The assumption which underpins group therapy is that
sooner or later, we think, feel and behave in the group
exactly the way we do in our everyday social environments.
The group therapy setting offers a wonderful opportunity
in a safe, supportive environment to become aware of
and challenge these often self defeating patterns in
the “here and now” of the group. This isn’t
always easy, but what gives people the freedom to experiment,
explore and change is the support of the other group
members who are also committed to personal development
and growth.
