Supervision and Training
Kieran Nolan: I am a trained and experienced psychotherapy supervisor. I am a Certified Transactional Analyst and work in a “relational” or psychodynamic style. I have over ten years experience of working in private practice and have also worked in the NHS. I am currently applying for a second accreditation as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. I have a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and am studying for a PhD at Manchester University on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which is one of my areas of speciality, as well as complex cases and enduring mental health problems. I am experienced in group and individual supervision and in leading workshops; I am a visiting lecturer at Manchester University’s MSc in Counselling.
Rowan Newby: I am a BABCP accredited CBT therapist with a post-graduate diploma in CBT from the University of Derby. As such, I am recognised by the BABCP as suitable to provide supervision for those working towards accreditation. I have supervised individuals with CBT qualifications as well as therapists and counsellors from other modalities who wish to learn or build on some basic CBT skills to complement their principal approach. I am also able to offer supervision to EMDR students who are not currently working towards accreditation. Having undergone Person Centred, Gestalt, TA and Psychodynamic therapies myself, I have a good understanding of how CBT and EMDR can be integrated with other forms of therapy. I can provide telephone and face to face supervision and am also happy to provide workshops on CBT skills.
